I never heard lyrics to that one. I guess it’s subjective, but I (and many jazz musicians) would call anything a song, even if it doesn’t have lyrics.

Thanks for compiling this list and references to contemporary versions of the songs. I always thought that a song had to have lyrics. I have never heard any lyrics for Cantaloupe Island. Am I wrong?

You got that swingin’ thing there Matt! I agree with all of the choices! Great music! Great musicians.

There are so many good tunes and great musicians it’s hard to comprehend the history of jazz. I think maybe that I’ll sign up for the 1 to 1 to try to take a decent direction in what to listen to and to collect.
