Both bands had Jimmy Deuchar on trumpet. This was 1960 or 61. Oh how time flies. I also saw the Duke Ellington orchestra and Ella Fitzgerald backed up by the Oscar Peterson trio, both at some big venue, maybe the hammersmith Palais. A long time ago, and far, fa away.
