White which was the forerunner of King/Cleveland. My firs horn was an alto American Standard. I was gifted this horn in 1960 by a gentleman whose son played the horn in his youth, and was killed in WWII. This horn completely changed my life, as I went on to acquire a Masters Degree in music. I have had a very good life as a musician because of that horn.

All 3 are fun to play. However, the Sakkusa required $300.00 of repair work and adjustments to get it to play properly. I purchased a Saxquest C melody mouthpiece that works quite well. In addition, I have tried a GETASAX mouthpiece that also works well. The GETASAX is a 3D printed copy of an Otto Link.

Truly it is different… I didn’t visualize me buying one, but it seems to be an option for the musician given to an odd sound. I think my alto is better, and tenors are better sounding than any saxophone.
