Great appreciation to Ahmad Jamal and his gifts. While reading his obit, Poincianna was playing in my mind. The drummer is to be lauded too for his sensitive, intuitive playing that is also indelibly recorded in my musical ‘ear’. Inestimable appreciation to them ALL!
