I was also a Joni fan and have Hejira which took the jazz influences on Court and Spark and multiplied them by 10. My early exposures to jazz were mainly fusion artists Herbie Hancock (Headhunters) Return to Forever (Romantic Warrior) and Weather Report (Heavy Weather) I still like Stanley Clarke as a bass player, different than Jaco but outstanding just the same.
