I have most of the other albums as well as a 4-disc composite, each of which is about 75-80 minutes long. I also have a Mingus biography and sonbook to play along with on my tenor sax. Have to transpose from concert C to Bb. His music can be joyous, spiritual and totally chaotic. His bass playing is the best. Love his use of a bari sax. His Ellington, Sounds of Love is a wonderful piece I never tire of listening to or playing along. Mingus is one of the great jazz composers along with Monk, Coltrane and Miles. Happy New Year.

One with Roy Eldridge and Dolphy. A later Atlantic ,Three or Four Shades of Blues is good.
