I find it puzzling that Lena Horne is not on this list

It is also time to look forward to those that might become great.
I would include Jazzmeia Horn and Samara Joy

I Love all your compilations, and I know it’s impossible to fit everyone into a list of 15, but I was surprised you didn’t mention Dakota Staton as one of the great female vocalists. The Late Late Show is a desert island disc.

Etta Jones (not James) – please listen to her “Don’t Go to Strangers” and in my humble opinion the best version ever of Nature Boy with Jerome Richardson on sax. The other extremely overlooked jazz singer – Lorez Alexandria. Listen to her version of Baltimore Oriole. She recorded it in 1957 then again in 1963. The ‘63 is my fav.
